Eubanks were feted Sunday with ia barbecue on their 50th wedding anniversary. Approximately forty relatives attended the picnic supper at the park, planned by the children of the Eubanks’.W. O. Eubanks and Ora Ivey, both of Bronte, were married June 18, 1911 in the home of the late Rev. R. E. Cumbie. Mr. Eubanks was a native of Bronte and Mrs. Eubanks had moved to Bronte at the age of 13 from Lampassas with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Ivey.A farming and ranching family, the couple has made their home in the same location throughout their married life. Mrs. Eubanks stated that their home, across the street from Bronte school, had been very convenient for their four children, all of whom graduated from the local school. Their granddaughter, Dana Eubanks, who makes her home with them, will be a senior in Bronte High this fall.The couple has three surviving children: Mr9. Walter Gilli6 ofDel Rio, W. O. Eubanks of Odessa and Ivey Eubanks of Robert Lee. One son, Jimmy, was killed in a plane crash in January of this year.Relatives attending the barbecue Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gillis and family of Del Rio, Mr. and Mrs. W. O.
