Carmeletta King, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl King, passed away at the St. Joseph hospital in Center ville, Tuesday morning, about 10:00. She had been ill since early child hood, having contracted a heart dis ease. Her serious illness started in December and she had become grad ually worse since then. Carmeletta was born in Moulton, June 9, 1927, and has made her home here constantly. Her health became such that during the last year she had been practically bedfast and un der the care of a physican. Too, she was given constant care by her mother. Surviving relatives are her par ents, six brothers, Eugene, in the U. S. Army; Ted in the U. S. Navy; Bob, Herschel, Jack and Max at home. Two brothers preceded her in death. There are other surviving re latives and a host of friends who ex tend sympathy to the bereaved fam ily. Definite funeral arrangements have not been made pending word from the son in the Army, but it is probable that they will be held eith er today or tomorrow.
