Freeport Men Erect a Bungalow on Interurban Road. Messrs. Chas. D. Knowlton, Jr. John S. Harpster, Wm. F. Fry and about twenty others have secured about 40 acres in Maynard's woods, three miles east of the Ridott road and on the Interurban, and have erected a bungalow on the part of the plat commanding the best view and the formal opening of the Coun try club will be Wednesday even ing next. The Interurban has prom ised a station similar to the one at Forest park, and it is the intention of the members to gradually add to the attractiveness of the place, in the way of golf links and other forms of amusement. The bungalow has a wide screened veranda, a fine summer kitchen, and a commodious living room. Freeport has long need ed just such an outing place, and it goes without saying that those at the head of the movement will see to it that in a few years Freeport’s country club will be the equal of those of any of our neighboring cities.
