Our Orchestra at Vauli. Geckler’s Enterprise orchestra re ceived many compliments on the music they rendered at the late democratic editorial meeting at Paoli. The no tices given them by the Paoli Republi can and News are reproduced below. The meetings of the association were held in the capacious entertain ment hall of the Mineral Springs Hotel and were of a business and social na ture to which everybody was welcome, each session, as well as the intervals between the sittings of the Association were enlivened by sweet and aqul stir ing music discoursed by the Business Men's Orchestra, of Worthington, Ind. Of this orchestra which is composed of seventeen pieces too high praise can not be given, and a more lady-lke and gentlemanly set of people can not be found. Their magic was the crowning feature of the occasion. They brought with them three little Misses (whose names, we are sorry to say, we did not get who in the parlors of the hotel charmed and delighted our citizens and the association with their singing, rec itations, and wonderful deseniations of characters. To every member of this orchestra and especially A. M. Brown, Manager and ©. A. Geckler, Director we extend the most cordial thanks of the Association and the en tire towns, who will ever remember with greatful hearts their presence on this occassion.—Pack News. A very prominent feature of the meeting was the very excellent mutsic furnished by the Orchestra from Wor thington. The ladies and gentlemen who compose this musical organization are frum the ranks of business people of our neighboring city of Worthington in Greene counts, and are in the pial ness, not especially to make money but because they love music. It is made up from the different trades, two of its prominent members being bankers, and the director a blacksmith. They rendered music, which in general was new to our people, and much of it out of the general line of selections for such occasions. They had with them some little girls who were masters, or perhaps we should say mistresses, at entertainment. One little girl recited several selections in a manner worthy of much older heads, while two other little girls on Friday evening put every one in good humor by vaction songs, calculated to attract the attention of all who heard them.—Pavli Republi can.
