Wright, in her 85th year. Mrs. Wright was one of the pioneers of Methodism in Illinois. She was born at Lexington, N. J., in August, 1807, and married Rev. S. M. Otwell at New Albany, Ind., whence they came to Illinois as missionaries over 60 years ago. They were founders and members of the first church organized in t'arlinville, where they did noble work in the service of the Divine Master and for the upbuilding of His church in the then new and thinly settled west. To the people of that community the deceased was well known and held in the warmest allec-tion for the good accomplished during a long and usefuljChristian life. After the death of her first husband, Mrs. Otwell married Ruel E. Wright, who also preceded her to the better land. For some years she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. T. B. Wright, wife of a well known Meth* it? odist minister now stationed at Pleasant Plains. Of her ten children eight survive to mourn her loss and honor herhen-lp-V’ememory:^Mrs. Mary F.
