Mrs. Gussie McCollum, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Waddell and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Weaver attended the funeral of Mrs. Secrest Henry in Rocksprings Wednesday, June 13. London Eastern Star members attending the OES installation of officers in Menard last Monday evening were Mr. and Mrs. John Walker, Mrs. T. B. Pearl, Mrs. Alice Ivy, Mrs. Max Hahn, Mrs. Paschal Rogers, Mrs. Jack Day ton, Mrs. O. D. Price and Mrs O. J. Ivy, Mrs. Pearl served as installing marshal; Mrs. Dayton was install ing organist. Mrs. Aaron Alexander and daughters returned to Crane last Monday after a weekend visit with Mrs. Bonnie Ray Ivy and other relatives. Miss Marjorie Lynn Dockal Mason, has been here visiting Mr and Mrs. Bennie Koerner. Mr. and Mrs. Frances Harris returned home Friday from a visit in Dallas. They were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Gene Norris. Visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Hight and Mr. and Mrs. Fllvin Pool last week were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hight and Mrs Alvin Ripple and Travis of Eola Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Martin and boys and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hight and family of San Angelo Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Hight and family of Fldorado, Mr. and Mrs T. C. Hight and family of Houston and Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Pool and son of San Angelo. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Hight and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hight and family spent the weekend in Hous ton visiting Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Hight and family. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Hight, Jess Hight and Clifford Hight went to Austin June 10 to visit Mr. and Mrs. Will Hight. Mr. Hight has been ill. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Pool visited Mr. and Mrs. Henry Phillips in next last Sunday week. Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Koerner went to Mason Saturday night to see their nephew, Timmy Ray Dockal, play baseball. Mrs. Luther Montgomery and children visited in Brady Friday. Miss Carolyn Cavaness came home with them to spend the weekend. Deryl and Debra Hight, Menard, have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Jess Hight. Mrs. John H. Jones Jr. and chil dren spent last week in Austin with Mrs. Betty Walker. Mrs. Walker brought them home Sat urday and spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. John Walker and her daughters who are visiting here, Charlsie and Debbie. Mr. and Mrs. Max Hahn went to Kingsland Wednesday to visit their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Hahn and boys, who are va cationing there. Their grandson, Jonnie, returned home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Carpenter and boys of Paris were here over the weekend to visit Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carpenter Sr. Also visit ing the Carpenters and Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Blaylock were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carpenter Jr. and family, San Antonio. Filis Brown was in Sapulpa, Okla., three days last week on business. Mrs. Martha Frenzel, Menard, spent Saturday night with Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Ivy. ‘Jr. and Mrs. Howard Hight and daughters of Odessa were in Lon don Tuesday to visit friends and relatives. John Spruell took his son John nie to Dallas Saturday morning to catch a plane for his home in Ta coma, Wash. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Glossbrenner, Mason, visited Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Ivy Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Adams and Clyde Sessions of Odessa visited Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Lott and Mrs. Allie Ivy over the week end. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lott from Wednesday through Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Russell Lott and children of Palestine. Carla re mained for a longer visit with Mr. and Mrs. Lott. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Clapp left Thursday for their home in Vernal, Utah, after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Hahn and other rela tives. Mrs. Hahn accompanied them to Silver City, N. M., to visit her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bud McAllen. Mr. and Mrs. James Johnson went to Austin Saturday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Bill Johnson. Mrs. N. M. Johnson and Mrs. Kelly Hilderbrand and daughters of Kerrville visited Mrs. N. J. Johnson and other relatives Tues day. Mrs. Capitola Stone, San Angelo, visited Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dayton Saturday. Mrs. Arch Starks was in Brady Saturday to shop. Mrs. Joe Turpen and Dan Tyler have been here visiting Mrs. Tur pen’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Moore. Mr. and Mrs. Dig Davis, Junc tion, and Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Hight, Mason, were here Sunday to visit Mrs. Marion Hight. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Nelson, Brackettville, were here Sunday to visit Mrs. Allie Nelson. Mrs. Josie Summers returned home from San Antonio Thursday. She had been visiting her son, Leonard Hensley, who is in Nix Hospital. “It’s time I got into another show. The backers of this one have stopped calling me up!”
