Marietta Horcher, Taddeus Sasak United In MarriageMiss Marietta Horcher, daughter of Mrs. Alvin Horcher of Columbia and Taddeus Sasak, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Sasak of East St. Louis were united in marriage at 9 a. m., in a Nuptial High Mass in Immaculate Cnnception Church, Columbia, on Saturday, June 10. Rev. John Schreuder performed the double ring ceremony.The bride approached the altar on the arm of her brother, Kermit Horcher, preceded by Miss Dorothy Sasak, a sister of the groom, as maid of honor. Miss Mildred Scngczyn, Miss Lillian Sander and Miss Alice M. Leingang, all friends of the couple, acted as bridesmaids.Edward Podranza, friend of the couple, was best man. Chester Kopec, friend of the couple, and Linus Horcher, brother of the bride, were groomsmen, The attendants wore summer tuxdoes,The bridal gown whs made of Chantilly lace over satin, with a lace train sweeping from the full length skirt. The gown was buttoned down the back with tiny satin buttons, the long sleeves came to a point over the hand. The yoke was trimmed with seed pearls. Her fingertip veil was scalloped around the edges, ornamented with orange blossoms. The bride carried a bouquet of white lilies with an orchid center trimmed with white satin streamers.The maid of honor wore a gown of pink marquisette over taffeta, styled with a drop shoulder effect, trimmed with tiny lace ruffling. The yoke was of nylon tulle. The full length skirt was gathered to the waistline with large lace ruffles extending down the back of the skirt. She wore a matching picture hat and carried a bouquet of blue carnations.The three bridesmaids wore gowns and picture hats identical to the maid-of-honor, all in blue. They carried bouquets of deep pink arnations.The maid-of-honor and the 1 bridesmaids wore single strands of ■ pearls, a gift of the bride. lt;Ushers were Jerome Warshaw, j friend of the couple, and Norman . Diehl, cousin of the bride. iThe brides mother wore a navy 1 [ and white sheer dress, with navy accessories, and the groom’s ! mother wore a powder blue crepe i dress with white accessories. Both 1 wore white carnations corsages, a i gift from the groom. !A wedding breakfast was served i at the Legion Hut followed by a 15 o’clock supper for about 100 lt;relatives and friends. A public lt;reception was held at the Turner lt;Hall in the evening.After a short honeymoon the i couple will make their home at I 5622 Eastgate, East St. Louis.The bride attended the Immacu- i late Conception School in Colum- s bia and is employed at Stix, Baer .6 Fuller in St. Louis. The groom 1 attended St. Adelbert’s School and is employed by the Ninth Street lt;Market in East St. Louis. -
