From Monday's Daily— Assault with intent to kill charges were filed today by officers against Cleo West and Lonnie Fiser follow ing a shooting scrape between West and Fiser Sunday afternoon at the East Inn Cafe on East Stephenson avenue. West, who was in the cafe eating his supper, was fired upon by Fiser from the outside of the building about 5:30 o'clock, officers said. The shots went wild, and no one was injured, West told officers he tried to fire his pistol but it jammed. The shooting followed a quarrel earlier in the afternoon when West was stabbed five times in the back by Fiser as he was eating his lunch at the cafe about one o'clock, officers stated. West was brought to a local physician's office for medical aid. His injuries were not serious. West and Fiser were arrested by ‘City Policemen, Adair, Jackson and Holland, and Oscar Rogers, deputy sheriff. They were placed in jail to await preliminary hearing which will probably be held Tuesday.
