Welch and O’Neil Among Group—To Serve for Stark Co Slayings. Five prisoners were taken to Ohio penitentiary Monday, four of them under long-term sentences. Included in the party were Morris Welch to serve life imprisonment for the murder of Mrs. Mabel Burk hart; Mike O’Neil to serve from 10 to 20 years for manslaughter in the killing of Louis Novak; Jack Zuber and Phys Thomas to serve from five to 15 years each for burglary and larceny and John James Murray, under sentence from one to 15 years for the same offense. Murray was with Zuber and Thomas, but received leniency be cause it was his first offense, while the others have criminal records. Deputy Sheriffs George Thorn and A. F. Wade went as guards.
