ERNEST P. BICKNELL EFollowing are parts of an interesting letter written by Ernest P. Bicknell, to his mother, Mrs. Terry, who resides near this city. Mr. Bick-nell is an American Red Cross worker and the letter is written from Paris:10. Rue De L’Elysee, Paris, France, Sunday, May 27, 1923 Dearest Mother:I have had a strenuous week in Paris, having reached here last Monday. The days have been a continuous succession of conferences and committee meetings. The principle meeting, to which all the others were preparatory, was held on Friday and Saturday, and of this meeting I was chairman. Delegates were present from England, Australia, New Zealand, France, Holland, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Sweden, Argentine, Chile, and Japan. The strain of presiding over this aggregation was rather trying, and when it was all over yesterday afternoon I found myself quite used up. But I had a good rest last night and am feeling fine today.I am sailing for home next Saturday; June 2, on the steamship Aqua-tania, and should reach Washington probably the 9th or 10th.Paris is beautiful and interesting as always, but the weather Is cold and wet. Wo have had rain every day since my arrival, I believe, but not all day rains.* ERNEST P. BICKNELL.
