BURGLARSCatchesNightwatchman McStarvickThem at Work.1 X '*The Kansas City pawn shop, itt a small metal building on Broadway west of the Fair store, was burglarized last’® night, the perpetrators, displaying more avarice than judgment, as the hour ;Jwas early, the room was lighted and «^ «the nightwatchman was abroad, ,En-I trance was effected about 11:30 by cut-* ting out a thin pannel of a soft piher door in the rear of the room. Qne of the burglars reached in and lifted awftj*the cross bar, allowing the door to W1 opened. One of them entered and the^ other remained outside presumably to watch.The electric light in the room betray-iff ed the bifrgirr by casting a shadow 'which wajs detected by Nightwatchman, f.'1?-McStarvick, who summoned, assistant*9 * r■mby firing his pistol. Officer Larkin re*^ sponded to the alarm and arrested a man who gives his name as Frank Hagei. He was locked up and thuj morning his pal was arrested by Officer Compton and Nightwatchman McSta^Siviek. Both the offenders are in cuS- ^ tody of the federal authorities and Witt^ be held to answer to the charge of buy-fglary- __________________
