Weaver, formerly a resi dent and business man of this city, and later a commercial traveller, died here early Thursday morning, of typhoid fever, and that Mr. Weaver enjoyed an unusually large acquaintance, and many friends will miss his genial company. His death caused a general sorrow. His gen Ue manners and characteristic cleverness, together with his acknowledged intellect and excellent character, gave him pre eminence among his large acquaintance as well as among his immediate friends, all of whom will receive with sadness the news of his unfortunate demise. Gilmer, Principal of the Morganton Male Acad emy, and Miss Laura’. Avery, a daughter of the late Col. Moulton Avery, a gallant mfederate officer. The church was ar tistically decorated, and was filled to over flowing ‘long before the hour set for the performance of the ceremony.
