MARRIEDCOOK—DU flBIt I DO E: At the Baptist church, Wednesday evening, June 15th, 1881, by Ucv. T. O. Keen, Mr. Walter C. Cook to Miss Mamie C. Burbridge.The bridal couple preceded by llvo pairs of attendants entered the crowded church nt a lew minutes past 8 o'clock. Tho ceremony ftas short and Impressive, after which the party, accompanied by a fow relatives and Intiniato friends, repaired to the residence of the groom's father, three miles from the city, nrhoro a nice reception was given them. Tho bride was elegantly attired In a dress of Whito India mull over sntln trimmed with ircc. Always lovely she looked especially beautiful upou this all important occasion.Tho reception given the party by Dr. and Mrs. Cook was one of the most elegant and enjoyable nfiairs of tho kind it has ever been our pleasure to attend. Everything in the way of delicious edibles had been prepared in abundance and nothing that could add to tho plensure ot the company waa loft undone. Tho brido received many hand6omo and costly presents, among which we may mention an ologant gold watch and chain, from the groom; handsome silver cofTee pot, l)r. E. 11. Cook; set of knives, Mrs. K. It, Cook ; silver cake basket. Miss Sallic Cook; napkin holder, Frank Cook; berry bowl, Jas. L.
