Sold by Mills Purdy Yankton// BILLY MARBLE COMBINATION.This Excellent Company Will Appear In Yankto”, July 4, 5 and 6.The ludicrous appearance of Billy Marble as “Col. Sellers” in the amusing comedy, ‘‘Gilded Age,” cannot be imagined, but must be seen to be appreciated. The troupe presented this at St. Paul, of which the Pio-neer-Pres* says:As a play it cannot be surpassed by any ever presented to a St. Paul audience, its rendering was perfection. Marble, as “Col. Sellers” is irresistably funny, he seemed to outdo himself; his appearance on the stage being the signal for uproarous laughter, increasing In volume while he remained visible. A little episode added to the hilarity of the occasion. While “taking off” Washington life by being intoxicated, a little whiter miller sailed in and fluttered about the stage; his maudlin attempts to catch the insect were too ridiculous for description, affecting the players as well as the people, until the play had to wait for the laughter to subside. He was well supported, particularly with Mrs. Marble ai Laura Hawkins.
