Republican County Convention.At 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon the delegates from different portions of the coonty mot in Convention in the Recorder's Coart room, fit the Coart House, for the purpose of nomination delegates to attend the Congressional Convention to be held at Dixon, on the 26th of Jul^ next iThe Hon. Wm. B. Ogden was called to the chair, and upon taking his seat made a short speech, which was warmly received and loudly applauded.U. R. Hawley and U. N. Fmbie were then appointed Secretaries. The former gentleman not being present J. Lyle King was appointed to fill his place. ,A committee, consisting of the following gen: tlemen, was then appointed by the chair, with instructions to act upon the credentials of delegates present:Committee—Dr. Messier of Jefferson, Peter Page of Chicago, and J. £. The roll of delegates was then called and vacancies ere filled.A committee of five, consisting of E. C. Earned, H. Kennicott, Geo. Knccr, C. P. Holden and Jas. H. Rees, was appointed to present list of thirty four delegates to represent Cook County in the Congressional Convention to be held at Dixon, on the 26th of July next.
