OFFICIAL. jAndrew Jackson is no more. He deparled this lite on Sunday, the 8th instant, full of days Iand lull ot honors. . JHis country deplores his loss, and will ever cherish hi? memory.Whilst a nation mourns it is proper that business should be suspended at least for one day 1 in the Executive Departments as a tribute ot ! respect to the illustrious dead. I accordingly ; direct that the Department of State,.the Trea- 1 sury, the War, the Navy, the Post Office Departments and the office oi the Attorney General ; and the Executive Mansion be instantly put in mourning, and that they be closed during the 1 whole day to-morrow.JAMES K.
