American Little LeagueIn recent American League action, Dairy Queen won two games fay identical 9-8 scores to raise the teamrecord to 4-4.. * 'In the first one, Steve Sayer drove home the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning to defeat Bridgewater Merchants.In the other one, Mel Herbert drove in the winning run in the last of the sixth inning with a double as Citizens Bank was the victim. Eric Leidheiser and Dave Sweet-land each had three hits for the winners, Dave's driving in three runs. He -was also the winning pitcher. Greg Shaefer’s bat kept Citizens Bank in the ball game as he hit two home runs.Conrad's A.A.A. kept right on rolling as Steve Steiner pitched a one-hitter to defeat Citizens Bank, 18-2. Scott Stull had four hits and five ■R.B.I.’s, and Bob Martin had three hits and four R.B.I/s for the winners, now undefeated after eight games.
