The sole business at that time was the manufacturing of Livestock Feeds.In 1961 the first grain bin was built to handle corn for milling. Through the years additional bind were built and dryers added. NuMac, Inc. now purchases and ships grains from the farm along with milling grain.jIn the spring of 1963 a bulk and bag fertilizer plant was constructed, with storage for 1200 tons of bulk fertilizer and 500 ton of bag fertilizer. Later facilities for liquid nitrogen were added and a complete line of farm chemicals are now handled.The main line of Manufacturing of livestock feeds is through a franchise agreementwith Triple Moines,bIowa.Feeds, DesNuMacmanufactures and distributed Triple “F” Feeds for eastern Iowa, Wise., 111., Ind., and points in Texas, Arizona, and Penn. NuMac also manufactures for five other companies plus custommanufacturing with a capacity ofover 500 tons per month.In 1969 an Instra Pro Extruder was added to process beans.
