JNewnan, Ga., June 1—News of a%terrible tragedy corues from Coweta county. Henry Attaway, the eon of Wbitney Attaway,„was in a field at Campbell with ft force of negro laborers, directing them in their work. One of the negroes, on being ordered about by Attn way, grew violent, aud rushed upou bis employer with an open knife. The father of the infuri-ted negro caught Attaway and held him while his son gave him three stabs. With the strength of desperation, young Attaway broke loos'* aud siuking a knife in his assailant’s temple, killed him instantly. Attaway died shortly after.
