Saltzman, a well-to-do farmer, whoso farm lies about six miles from this place on the Springfield road, had a quarrel with his wife last Sunday morning on somo slight provocation, and going up stairs, - committed suicide by shooting himself through the head with his rifle—the ball entering just abovo his oyo and coming out at the top of his hoad, causing instant death. The deceased was about 45 years of ago and leaves several email children. Insanity is supposed to bo the cause of the melancholy act.
