Miss Jerri Bodden is wedio Grady Weston on June 8The glow of lighted tapers set the scene June 3 at Central Church of Christ for the afternoon marriage of Miss Jerri Bodden, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Ladnier, to Grady Weston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Weston of Pocahontas, Ark.Soft strains of music from the church choral group filled the [building preceding the ceremony. Selections were Be With Us, Lord'' and “Because.”The wedding was performed by John G. Hollingsworth, former instructor at Freed-Hardeman College in Henderson, Tenn., and minister of Freeport Church of Christ, Freeport, Tex.The bride’s attendants were Miss Lynda Lauderdale, maid of honor and Mrs. Suzanne McGau-ghy of Grand Bay, matron of honor. Bridesmaid was Miss Wan-jda Bills, Greenfield, Tenn., former college friend of the bride. The junior bridesmaid was Miss Joy Laurin Ware and the flower girl was Miss Kim Evans.They wore identical street length dresses of pink faille featuring fitted bodices with scoop necklines which formed small vees in the back. The bell shaped skirts were trimmed with rows of raspberry colored ribbons centered with rosebuds of the same material as the dresses. Their headpieces were fabric wedding rings with short tulle veils. They carried white mums and wore white accessories and each wore a single strand of pearls.The bride, given in marriage by her grandfather, wore a traditional gown of white silk organza. The bodice featured a portrait neckline trimmed with lace roses extending to the waist. Her fitted sleeves ended in calla points at the wrists. The full ' skirt ended in a chapel train.Hie elbow length veil fell from a tiara of seed pearls, lace and sequins. She carried a bouquet of white mums centered with two pink orchids and trimmed withribbon and lace.Her only jewelry was a single strand of pearls, a gift from the grown.Serving the groom as best man was Levi Sides of Jasper, Ala., former college roommate. Groomsmen were LeRoy Mc-jGaughy of Grand Bay and Glenn Hall. Terry Shaeffer served as junior groomsman and ring bearer was Stephen Wages, cousin of the bride.The bride’s grandmother, Mrs. Ladnier, wore a beige and white lace sheath with blue accessories | and a corsage of blue tinted carnations. Great grandmother of the bride, Mrs. J. B. Johnson, chose a blue silk crepe dress with patent accessories and a white carnation corsage. The bride’s paternal grandmother, Mrs. Norma Bodden, wore a beige and gold brocade sheath with matching accessories and a white carnation corsage.The wedding reception was held | in the church foyer where guests were greeted by members of the bridal party.The bride’s table, covered with a lace cloth, was centered with a tiered cake topped with miniature figures of a bride and groom. Punch bowls and silver candelabra flanked the cake and carried out the bride’s color scheme of pink and white.Mrs. Gerald Young presided at the bride’s book, which was placed on a lace-covered table featuring an arrangement of three pink rosebuds.Assisting at the reception were Mrs. Al Holliman, Mrs. Wayne Mitchell, Mrs. Hugh Lee Lauderdale, Mrs. Joe Walker and Miss Jerri Clark. Miss Clark, of Mem-I phis, is a former roommate of the bride.For the wedding trip along te Coast Mrs. Weston chose a pink | silk suit featuring a straight skirt ■ and semi-fitted jacket.
