Sunny blue skies and cool breezes took an estimated 450 persons to the Tisdale White Fence Farm in Adams yesterday for the all-day benefit horse show held to raise funds for the Northern Berkshire Retarded Children’s Assa. The show started at 9 a. m., with 69 horses and 150 entries in 24 classes, featuring jumpers, hunters, Western classes and a special Model Pony event. Two Trophies There were two trophies award ed yesterday, with Susan Haun, 12, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Haun of Stamford, V., winning the James T. Hunter Challenge Trophy for the second, consecutive year. Riding Wey field Elis in the Pleasure Horse class, the youthful rider was pre sented the trophy by Mrs. James T. Hunter. The other trophy went to Co lette Morse, 14, of Jacksonville, Vt., who rode Pride to top hon ors in the Western Horsemanship class. She was awarded a trophy by North Adams Mayor Louis J. Diamond. There were no all-show winners, because the show, run strictly for charity purposes, had no ac cumulation of points as required when a show is registered with the American Horse Assn. The following area winners took top honors in the 24 classes: The 4-H Fitling and Showman ship: First, Claire George of Wil liamstown on Valiant Prince; sec ond, John Bearden of Arlington, Vt., on Ginger; third, Pamela Littlejohn of Cheshire on Cedar Grove 1st Gentleman; fourth, John George of Williamstown, on Tony Boy. Trail Horse: First, Sally Bav er of Lenox on Royal Abdul; sec ond, Susan Haun of Stamford, Vt., on Weyfield Elf; third, Karen Dooley of Wilmington, Vt., on Stormy; fourth, Cheryl Rennie of Lenox on My Gallant Lady. Lead Line Lead Line: First, Rickey Haw ley of Jacksonville, Vt., on Gin ger; second, Elaine Littlejohn of Cheshire on Sweetheart; third, Al lan LaVigne of Cheshire, on Stubby; fourth, Ginger Anthony of Adams on Timken; fifth, Stewart Reynolds of Whitingham, Vt., on Prince.
