ON GIBSON, RCA-Victor recording artist, one of the few singers who have been able to tally 3-mil lion-disk sellers in succession, will headline the season’s final Grand Ole Opry produc tion next Sunday at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas. Performances are scheduled for 2, 5 and 8 o'clock. Gibson’s first million-seller was “Oh, Lonesome Me.” Then came “Blue, Blue Day” and now “Just One Time,” a cur rent popular tune. The full country music en tertainment cast on the finale billing lists Billy Grammar in a first appearance here, with a repertoire that includes his big number, “I Gotta Travel On,” and Mother Maybelle and the Carter Sisters, long-time show personalities. Kitty Carson and Dolores Dinning of the Dinning Sisters will appear at all three shows with Smiley Wilson, who had the teen-age favorite, “Run ning Bear.” The Duke of Paducah will be on hand for homespun comedy. For the spirituals, Basman Napier and The Plainsmen, the quartet that campaigned for Jimmie Davis in his recent bid for the Louisiana gover norship, are on the program. The show will be a benefit for the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Kansas City, Kansas. TOP TUNE PURVEYOR—Don Gibson, singer with an enviable high total of recording sales that soars into the millions, will appear next Sunday at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas, as the star of the final Grand Ole Opry show.
