me graveside.Mr William Henry Morrison, who died on Thursday. June 6, at the age of 69, was a widely known Kadina personality. He was the oldest child of the late Mr and Mrs Alan Morrison, and was born at Anama Station, near Clare, in 1871. The family moved to Kadina, where Mr Morrison was employed from an early age at the mines, first underground, and subsequently as shift boss on the surface. For a number of years he then engaged with the District Council of Kadina as dayman, and in June, 1919, took up a similar position with the Kadina Town Council, and became foreman when Mr Marshall relinquished that position. Mr Morrison remained with the Kadina Corporation until October 1938, when ill-health caused his retirement. His death, at his residence in Christie street took place just twelve months (excepting one day) later than that of his workmate. Mr Josiah Cock, with whom he had worked for the Corporation for many years. Quiet and unassuming, and an excellent and conscientious workman, Mr Morrison was highly esteemed and generally respected, and as caretaker at the Kadina show grounds lie also carried out his duties well lor a considerable period He was married to Miss Rebecca Liddicoat. a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs John Liddicoat. of Kadina. who survives with the following family:—Messrs William Morrison, Cecil M. Morrison. Ernest Morrison (Adelaide), and Roy Morrison (Kadina), and Mrs J. 13. Pauli (Clarcl. There are eight grandchildren. The funeral, which was largely attended, took place on Friday, June 7. and the Rev. O. L. Noske (Methodist) officiated at the graveside.
