An Upheaval In The Orient.News comes from Japan, via San Francisco, to the effect that A. Hay-ashi, for thirteen years manager of the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, has resigned, as have the entire board of directors of the hotel. In his place has been appointed H. S. K. Yamaguchi, manager of the Fijiya Hotel, Miyanoshita, Japan. Both of these men are well known to American hotel men, as they have made several trips to this country. The Imperial hotel was not long ago, badly damaged by fire. A portion of the premises were saved, however, and have been housing guests. The new hotel, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, Chicago architect, is nearing completion.
