Diane Best $275 winnerue NettedFolsom Frontier Little League be-nefitted from bingo in the month of May, netting $600 to its coffers, according to the Folsom Athletic Association.The month of June is benefitting the Folsom Swim Team at the regular Monday night bingo games, open to the public, at Folsom Community Clubhouse.Athletic organizations in Folsom assist at the games and as a result receive a percentage of the income for a given month.The bingo games here were designed as fund-raisers for the promotion of athletics locally - the original investment in equipment has alreadybeen paid off. Now, when the community sits down to mark its bingo squares on Monday nights, athletics are receiving direct benefit.To date since the games started, the Folsom Soccer Club took in $276 in the month of February; the Folsom-El Dorado Babe Ruth League $713 in March; Folsom High School Coaching Staff Athletic Fund $525 in April, then Little League $600 in May.A snack bar accompanies Monday night games for players’ convenience and enjoyment. Games start at 6:45 p.m. every Monday at the clubhoouse,which is located adjacent to Folsom City Hall, Natoma St.A $250 progressive bingo jackpot is offered on any given Monday.
