Winterset Fire Department of 30 Years AgoPictured above is the Winterset Fire Department and their equipment in 1926. The fire fighting equipment included a Reo Speed Wagon with a 50 gallon chemical and pressure pump and a Ford truck. About the time this picture was taken, the Winterset Fire Department was cited by the State Fire Marshall afor having fewer'Aany town its size in the state”. Pictured above, from left to right, are Creed Estel, Jack Oliver, Chas Armbrest, Albert Stron, Earl Breeding, Thomas Bed well, Chas. Breeding, Elmer Young, Otto Kahre, and Chas. Mills,Fred and Rigobert Gaekle were not present for the picture.
