Mrs. Howard Hobbs, 330 Columbia avenue, is assembly secretary.The official opening of the as-willsemblyhemorning worship service at 10:30 a. m. Sunday, in the auditorium, when Dr. Howard J. Brown, minister of The Church of the Saviour, Cleveland, Ohio, and former pastor of Fort Wayne Forest Park church, will be the speaker.The choir of the Syracuse Methodist church will sing the anthems. The. Methodist Men’s Institute will be a part of this service, as well as the conference Wesleyan Service Guild members. Both groupsFranklin, of Logansport, and Mrs. J. E. Thacker, of Ft. Wayne. This school will include in its faculty Miss Susie R. Quander, teacher in Cleveland public schools; Miss Edith Simester, missionary to China, Brazil, and India; and Miss Dorothy McConnell, edith of World Outlook, Methodism’s missionary journal.Laboratory SchoolThe Laboratory school for children’s workers will be headed by Miss Ruth Stevens of Angola, Indiana, and faculty members will include Mrs. W. F. Bates, Little Rock, Ark.; Miss E. Mae Young, Nashville, Tenn.; and Miss Lula Doyle Baird, Morrilton, Ark.The Young People’s Missionary Camp will be at Pell Lodge on the campus, and the camp dean is Mrs. Charles Hartman, of Monroeville. McLaughlin, former pastor and district superintendent in Lucknow, India, and presently the director of the board of the Vellore Christian Medical college.At 8 a. m. daily a Bible lecture will be given by Dr. Wyatt Aiken Smart, Professor Emeritus of Emery School of Theology at Atlanta, Ga. He was formerly the dean of Emory Chapel. This will be a return engagement at the Assembly for Dr. Smart.
