Granted that our problem is a more difficult one, if only from a financial angle, will we be able! to present as gallant a face as our younger sisters 1Here in Orange County many women with farmer husbands Will see their men spared the hel! of front line fighting. But the farmer’s job, no cineh in . peace time, takes on gigantie proportions during war when j hta output must be increased and his hired help is practically non existent. Many farmer’swives are donning overalls for the first tjme, helping with the milking and looking after the home gardens over and above!1 all their many home tasks. I These women deserve our gratitude and respect.American women have so far had to take only a fraction of what women in other .countries t have borne hut from the man-1 * ner in which they are respond-1 ing already, they can take the!
