W. Griffith, will be shown in Mobile for the first time today with complete sound accompaniment at Little Coney Island, on Arlington pier. The story, based on the Civil war and reconstruction days following the conflict stars Henry W. Walthall and Lillian Gish. Scenes of naval engagements in and around Mobile bay when federal troops were landed in south Alabama are shown. The “Little Colonel,*’ played by Walthall, makes a heroic defense of the lost cause, is wounded and sent to a northern prison. fSfpO': ‘ ^In addition to the picture the management of the park has arranged for a seven-piece orchestra to augment the musical score.
