They were heartily encored at every appearance, and some of the things they gave on their reappearance were even more appreciated than the songe which had led to tbeir recall.Of all the numbers in which they sang, the solo and chorus, •• An Awlul Little Scrub” and the Barnyard chorus seemed to be moat popular, both partaklog of the rollicking character of student gleea. In both many novel effects were introduced Of the soloists. Master Gustave Schmidt, the violinist, waa justly the most popular. He played with skill and a technical perfection' that led to his enthusiastic recall. Mise MacPherson, one of the solo ingers,. waa' also well received. Her roicp Is by np means a remarkable one, bat the mode good nee p! it and sang wen, which Is more tban oould be said of Miss Pieney who tried high tone effects without the smoothness and dearness of voice necessary to such work.MissPecor. the banjblst, gave an odd exhibition of her powers on her recall in the second part of the programme, pUying and swinging her bsn^o in the most approved manger,The programme last evening was rather long, bat was none the lees enjoyable for that. As usual the parts taken by the glee dub were not overshadowed by tbe solo work, the glee club work being the most popular, and deserving to be.To the usual solo work last night was added a tenor solo by Mr. Fred. Parker, of Jersey City, who has a rich, flexible voice that appeared to advantage in his selec lions.
