The Tioga County Historical Soci ety genealogical department is in terested in obtaining a collection of The Boston Transcript and The Hart ford Times Genealogical Section, The National Genealogical Society Quarterly, and the New England Genealogical Historical Register prior to 1970. Since many of our pioneers came into Tioga County from the New England states, these source records are important to our local research. Genealogical tip of the week: Are you recording dates, places, full names, and giving your documented source, when compiling your family records. A list of names is good and can be used as an outline; place them on family group sheets and fill in all the missing data. Did you know that an obituary usually lists the oldest surviving child first, and others in order of birth: some holds true in wills unless otherwise stated. Did you know that on a tombstone: the middle initial of the married woman is generally her maiden name initial. Queries: Needed is information about Olin Gee and his wife Alma Benson. After they were married they lived at Perrytown, near Rose ville. We need dates. Does anyone have information on Gilbert and Mary Ellen (Dibble) Brown, who lived French Hill area. Gilbert J.
