Cuba 9 Brave* 5 The Cubs exploded for six runs in the second inning to over power the Braves 9-5.Darren Mazzu pitched a two hitter to gamer the pitching victory for the Cubs while Mark Nelson suffered the loss.Offensively for the winners Paul Dean, Art Richard and Mazzu each had two singles apiece while Scott Bryant and Tommy Henderson hitting one single each. DodgemB Giants 7 The Dodgers' three run rally in the second propelled them to a 8-7 victory over the Giants.Scott Bluhm had a hot bat for the Dodgers as he had a single and triple. Also having hits for the victors were Shannon Maginnis with two singles, Jeff Herrin with one double and Scott Stampley.Mike Krautz notched the win and Joey Lupton picked up the defeat. Dodger* 9 Cub* 8 The Dodgers scored a clutch run in the bottom of the sixth to edge the Cubs 9-8.Having hits for the Dodgers were Jeff Herrin With two doubles, Doug Smith and Shannon Maginnis with two doubles, and Jerry Sattler and Scott Bluhm with a single apiece.Mike Hartt slated the win while Keith Braudin was charged with the loss. Brave*3 Cardinal* 1 Three runs in the third inning was all the Braves needed to defeat the Cardinals 3-1.Mike Sonnier picked up the mound victory by throwing a dazzling one hitter. Terry Fountain encountered the loss.Sonnier also aided his victory as the youngsterTillie both had singles to round out the Braves hitting.Giant* 15 Pirates 0Mark Sebright pitched a two hit shut out to ead the Giants to a 15-0 route of the Pirates.Joey Lupton was the leading hitter with a home run and a single. Other hits for the team were made by Joey Falgout with two singles and a double while Chad Strange, Mike East, Ron Theriot and Troy Wolford slapped out one single each.Dodgers 20 Pirate* 1The helpless Pirates were shown no mercy from the Dodgers as the power house team swatted the Pirates 20-1.Shannon Maginnis took the mound victory while Mark Sebright slated the loss.Scott Stampley, DougSmith, Shannon Maginnis. Mike Krautz, and Scott Bluhm each had hits for the winners. Brave* 8 Pirate* 6The Braves rallied for two runs in the bottom of the eighth to nip the Pirates 8-6.Norman Carter, Mike Sonnier, Jay Romero and Mark Nelson each had singles for the winners.Kent Stahl notched up the victory while Mark Sebright suffered the loss.Cuba 14 Pirate* 13The Cubs scored one run in the top of the seventh to beat the Pirates in an extra inning affair 14-13.Darren Mazzu picked up the victory while Brian Hefner encountered the loss.Dodger* 3 Brave* 2The three run thirdinning was all the Dodgers needed to defeat the Braves 3-2.Shannon Maginnis had a two run triple to head the battery of the Dodger hitters while Doug Smith and Scott Stampley had singles to round out the hitting.Shannon Maginnis was the winning pitcher and Mike Sonnier was the loser.Dodger* 3 Cardinals 2The Dodgers had to come back to win this one as the Cardinals jumped out to an early two run lead. The Dodgers then pushed across three late inning runs to take the win.Shannon Maginnis, Jeff Herrin, Doug Smith and Scott Bluhm each had hits for the winners.Mike Hartt slated the win and Terry Fountain encountered the loss.
