TORNADOAbout 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 13, a tornado completely destroyed a 30 feet by 62 feet barn belonging to Lawrence Evans, Fayette, located two miles southeast of Arlington.Sometime ago, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Behrend had sold their farm and the barn to Mr. kEvans and had kept an.acreage for their home. The barn was on this acreage. Mr. Evans had planned to remove it, but it was destroyed before he could do so.Additional damage was done to the Behrends’ home, their car, and pickup.An outage of electricity also occurred.High winds on Sunday also demolished an oldpr barn on the^ Doug Nus farm and part of a cattle shed on a farmstead owned, by Mr. and Mrs. Derrel Johnson.The roof over a hog feedingfloor and part of a com crib were destroyed on the farm owned by Mr. and Mrs. Duwain Rau.
