After being told that nicknames were not allowed on the ballot, ho went before the late District Court Judge Charles T. Berry; and had Coon Creek made part j of his legal name. jMr. Gandy was born July 1, 1883. the son of J. M. Gandy and , Julia Rutledge Gandy. IHe was married to the former : Minnie Chifsey who survives, j Nov. 26, 1005, and they lived on j the same farm all their married j lives until they moved to Sulphur Springs.Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons. H. W. Gan-j dy of Honey Grove, H. D. Gandy.| San Antonio, and J. M. Gandy, Fort Worth; two daughters, Mrs. Sihvl Chapman, Dallas, and Mrs.IB, B. Potthoff, San Antonio; three brothers, Wylie Gandy,| Winnsboru, Dewitt Gandy, Mai* i vern. Ark., and Max Gandy, Bul-j lard. Texas; a sister, Miss Martha Gandy, Dallas; eight grand-| children and four great-grandchildren.Pallbearers for the funeral were his grandsons and nephews, IJohn Chi I soy, Aubrey Chitsey, j Eugene Gandy, Joe Gandy, Jam-: es Gandy and Howard Gandy.
