Mr. and Mrs. John E. Snyder returned home on Monday, from a week’s visit to Boston, Mass. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. F. R. Murrie and Esta and Dick’”’ spent the week-end in Asbury Park and ewood, N. J., visiting their son_ Bruce, who is attending the Neuman School at Lakewood. Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Herr attended the Commencement exercises at Lehigh Uni versity, this being the thirtieth anniversary of the class with which Mr. Herr graduated Mr. and Mrs. Charles Zeigler and son Richard spent Sunday in Lancaster, visit ing Mr. and Mrs. Kendig, of that place. ref.and Mrs. A. M. Hinkel and daugh ter Marion are spending several days with Mr. and Mrs. Harry McLemans in West Grove, Pa. Lloyd Gilman has finished his course at the University of Pennsylvania and re ceived his degree on Wednesday. Mrs. Grover C. Sheckart spent Sunday at Pequa, Lancaster county. . Jean Brinser spent several days with her grandparents at Middletown. Prof. and Mrs. Angell Mathewson are about to leave town for their summer’s vacation. They will visit the former's parents in northwestern New York State. Miss Jessie R. Dersheimer has returned to her mother’s home at Falls, Pa. Carl Snavely returned to town after a pleasant week-end in Philadelphia. John E. Gilman, Jr. is employed in the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Witmer and daughter Aimee spent Sunday in Elizabethtown. Paul Shearer has returned to Hershey where he will spend the summer with his parents. Prof. and Mrs. Messersmith were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Copenhaver at the Industrial School. Prof. Messer smith is associated with the Glenn Mills School, a Semi-State Institution for habit correction. The Misses Miriam and Zola Smith and Arthur Stan, of Gibbstown, N. J., spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Williams, of Aretha avenue. Mrs. E. Mauffair has returned from a week’s vacation with her parents at Le moyne, Pa. . Mr. and Mrs. William Frederick, of Camp Hill, visited the latter's parents, Me. and Mrs. George Kreider, on Thurs ay. Mr. and Mrs. William Belser and son William Jr. are spending a week’s vacation with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. William E. Miller. Miss Bertha Belser, music supervisor at the Kittinanny Schools, Pittsburgh, is spending the summer vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Belser on Areta avenue. Miss Anna Klauss will again resume her studies at the Columbia University, New York City, for a period of several weeks. Miss Klauss is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Noah Klauss, of town. John Hamaker, of Harrisburg, spent Sunday visiting Mr. and Mrs. William E. Miller and family. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Gordon spent Sun day visiting at Riverside Park, where they were the guests of Ferrall Keller and Harvey Rike at their cottage. Miss Mildred Esbenshade, a nurse at the John Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Md., is spending several weeks’ vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Ross Esben shade. Miss Mildred White spent the weekend visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. White, of Lebanon. Mark Rodgers, formerly employed at the planing mill, has accepted a position with the McFarland Printing Company, of Harrisburg. Mr. and Mrs. John Hummer and sons, Norman, John and Bobbie, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hummer and family, of Jonestown, on Sunday. Mrs. Benjamin Snavely returned to her home after spending several weeks with her son, Roy Snavely and family, of Lan caster. Miss Harriet Kunkle and Roy Henry, of Rohrerstown, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Henry on Saturday. Mrs. Maria Zuver and Mrs. John F. Leese spent Friday visiting friends at Lebanon. Mr. and Mrs. George Wise and daughter Mildred and son Stuart, of York, visited Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stahle on Saturday evening. Dr. and Mrs. Fernando Chirino and children Irma and Freddie returned to their home in Cuba after spending several months at the Hershey Inn. Dr. Chirino has just completed a special course at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. They are making the return trip in their new Chrysler roadster. Miss Clara Zimmerman spent the week end visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Zimmerman, of Paxtonia. Mrs. Henry Ober and Miss Della Rice were some of the excursionists to Pitts burgh on Sunday, where they visited Mrs. Samuel Linton, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Rice, of Scatdale, Pa., are spending a week with their aunt, Miss Della Rice. Mrs. W. A. Waidlich, of Mercersburg, is spending a week visiting her daughters, Mrs. Lewis Cassady, vs. John Bren berger and Miss Dorothy Waidlich, Mrs. John Curry, of Swatara Station, visited her daughter, Mrs. John Seltzer, on Sunday. 7 Uoth Mr. and Mre. Joe Sanchez left for Cuba on Saturday to spend a month's vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sanchez.
