(Special to The Star.) BROKEN BOW, Neb., June 17.— Custer county residents have been not a lttle excited and are still won dering what was the real cause of the strange disturbance in the air a short time ago. All kinds of inquiries have come in and many rumors were started. At first it was thought to be the explosion of dynamite used for blasting on the H. M. Sullivan ranch but the noise could not pos sibly have covered the large area re ported. As the sky was clear, the idea of lightning was abandoned. At least three different people in various parts of the county claim that what ever It was, exploded right over their farm. The general conclusion is that it was a meteor.
