The county chairmen of the newly formed organization of Cass county soldiers, sailors and marines . will be invited by special letter today to at tend a meeting to be held in the of fice of Kistler, Kistler McHale next Friday evening at which time final arrangements will be made to participate in the Fourth of July demonstration. The letter is being sent out under the signature of the temporary president of the organiza tion, Attorney Frank McHale. Floats For Every Township, The entertainment committee of which Charles Longwell is chairman and who is being assisted by Harry Gardner and Leonard Sprinkle has made extraordinary efforts to make the parade one of the features of the day that will be long remembered. In this connection the members of the committee have visited the vari ous railway shop organizations in the city and it is said that an even more general and a greater display of floats will be seen on the Fourth of July than was true for the great armis tice celebration last November. Ev ery township in the ‘county will pre pare a ‘float according to the plans of the ‘committee. ‘A ‘number+have-al ready begun plans. ‘Triumphal Arch Underway. The ‘ground work for the Triumphal Arch at Third and Broadway was started yesterday morning. Work men are busy erecting the frame work of the arch on the top of which will be constructed the giant figure of achievement to be done by E. Pierre Wainwright, local artist and sculptor. From every present indication the demonstration to be given the re turned soldiers of Cass county on the Fourth of July will be commensurate in a measure at least with the splendid achievements of the men in service.
