The neighbors allege that heabused his wife, and that her screamscould be heard for more than a block ftwuy* IToday Eddy was arraigned In police court on a charge of intoxication, and be pleaded guilty. Boring the course of the hearing, however, it developedthat he drank his fill of liquor Saturday night and then went home and created a dtaturbanoe A relative testified that Mrs. Eddy bore many marks today as evidence of the abuse heaped upon her by her husband while he was Intoxicated.Officers testified that Mrs. Eddy, who gave birth to a child only six | days ago, was helpless and unable to defend herself when her husband beat her. Mr. Eddy would not admit that he beat his wife. He said he didn’t rejnroeber what he did.
