Red Hill, Md., June 16—Picking cherries and strawberries seem to be the order of the day in our cocdunity. Mr. Chas. E. Twigg was called to the bedside of his friend, Miss Lil lian Higgins, at Yale Summit, Tuesday evening. Miss Higgins is suffering with inflammation. Drs. Geo. Linin ger, C. Frostburg, and Holdsworth, of Eckhart, are attending her. Mrs. James Lawry and daughter Maryen, of South Cumberland, spent Sunday with Mrs. Noah Twigg. Mrs. John Fortney, son Raymond and grandson Earl, of Donora, Pa., have been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Alley, in Cumberland, Mr. and Mrs. Archibald Longer beam and daughter Helena spent Sun day in Illersiie. E. K. Twigg spent Saturday and Sunday at Mt. Savage. Those who were in Cumberland Sat urday from our town were Misses Lu lu Klosterman, Lizzie Laber, Jose S'S and John Klosterman, Ervin Twigg, Mr and Mrs. Chas. Laber. George Barnett, colored, who has been suffering with typhoid fever at the Western Maryland Hospital, has improved considerably. Miss Minnie Twigg was in Frost burg Saturday evening. Mrs. Albert Alley and her mother, Mrs. Fortney and son Earl spent Sat urday with Mrs. Twigg. Mrs. John Jenkins, of Shaft, Md., cared at Mrs. Katherine Klosterman's Sunday evening. Noah Twigg spent Sunday with his son, John and family, at Eckhart. Mrs. Katherine Klosterman was an Eckhart shopper Saturday evening. Rose Bud, I think I know who you are, P. B. must have chased up the frog when he was around. He said he was coming up for dinner if you would give him chicken. N. S. Twigg, of Maskado Gap, spent Sunday with his mother Mrs. Jennie Twigg and Mr. Henry Klosterman were in Cumberland Monday. The answer to P. B.’s conundrum is a cows tail. Mrs. Chas. Clise called on Mrs. Etta Longerbeam Saturday. We are glad to hear of a friend from Cresaptown joining the Circle. Miss Bertie Porter is visiting friends in Frostburg. Thomas, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Smith, at Montel, is on the sick list. Orange Bud.
