Media conference A conference on media careers will continue at Chaffey Community College Friday as Eileen Bodie. Jim producer for the Signode Corporatin of Chicago speaks The lecture begins at 10am in the campus theater Nature class Rancho Santa Ana Botante Garden, Claremont, will hold a nature class for children who will be entering grades 36 this fall The class will meet 9-10 30 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the month of July Enrollment is limited to 10 students A # registra tion fee will be charged For further infomation call the education department. 626-1917 Scholarship dance The Chaffey College chapter of MEChA will host a dinner dance to raise funds for Ruben 5 Ayala scholarships 7 pm-2 am in the campus center cafeteria The dinner wil include entertainment by Los Lobos del Este followed by a fashion show of regional Mexican clothing The dance, 9pm 2am, will feature the music of Los Labor del Este and Tabu The scholarships are awarded to students to continue their education at four-year colleges and universities Admis sion is $10 per person for the dinner dance and $5 for the dance alone For information call 987-1737 ext 378 should be sent to Pomona Valley-West End Right to Life League, P.O Bor 61, Upland 91766 Spring concert The choral music department of Chaffey College will present its annual spring concert 8 pm Sunday in the Campus little theater It is free to the public Women and credit ‘Women and Credit’ will be the topic for an open general meeting of the Porona Valley Chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW), to be held 70 pm tonight at the Emerson Junior High School, 635 Lin coln, Pomona The public is invited free of charge. Student art show Chaffey College’s fifth annual student art show is on display through Sunday in the Rex W Wignall Museum Gallery The show includes paintings, sculpture, ceramics photographs, and fiber work by local students Gallery hours are noon-3 pm Friday, and 2-5 pm Sun day Cultural center The annual meeting of the Chaffey Communities Cultural Center will be held 7 30 pm Monday at the museum. 525 W 18th St . Upland ‘Lifeline anniversary Pomona Valley-West End Right to Life Line is celebrating its fourth anniversary in June The volunteer hotline provides confidential help to pregnant women and girls married or single Volunteers inform callers about help for pregnancy verification medical care counseling financial assistance legal advice shelter, adoption and arrangements for continuing education and job training The lifeline can be reached 24 hours a day by calling 985-0205 Volunteer coordinator Mrs John Payne is seeking more volunteers with a two-session volunteer orientation planned for Jul.
