Funeral Services Held For Pharmacy Owner Roger MeeceFuneral services for longtime Livingston pharmacy owner RogerMerritt Meece, 73, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday in First Methodist Church of Livingston with burial in Rest land Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Meece died Thursday in Polk County Hospital.The Rev. James Frasier officiated.A native Polk Countian. Mr. Meece and his wife, Mary Elizabeth, had owned and operated Livingston Drug Co. for the past 40 years. His son, Roger Monroe Meece of Livingston also works in the drug company.Born at Moscow on April 30, 1901, Mr. Meece was the son of Monroe Dawson Meece and A Hie Baggett Meece. Soon after his birth the family moved to Boldsprings and Mr. Meece received his education in the Boldsprings public school.Mr. Meece attended business and pharmacy school in Fort Worth. He was employed as a pharmacist at Onalaska and Moscow before buyingHOCIEK M Mi:i(CSuccumbs hereMarv Elizabeth Hamilton in First Baptist Church at Onalaska.Mr. Meece was active in all civic allairs including the chamber of commerce and t he Rotary Club. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 14 AF and AM, a 32 nd degree Mason, Houston ( onsistory and a Shriner. He was a member of Livingston First 1 njted Methodist Church.Survivors other than his wife and son include three sisters, Mrs. Gertie Hood and Mrs. Ruby Rasberry, both of Livingston, and Mrs. Florence Wainwright of New Willard; five grandchildren and one great grand child.Pallbearers were Dr. J.
