By Bernice Peterson Lenore Reichelt of Bozeman is spending a few days at the pa rental Don Reichelt home, Nora and Doug Grubb and baby have moved here from Havre for the summer months and Doug will be a lifeguard at the swimm ing pool this summer. Mr. and Mrs. Jack May spent the weekend at their cabin on Beaver Creek, Evelyn and Bruce Peterson and Michelle spent the weekend camping in Glacier Park, Della and Clair Sohm spent the weekend in Missoula where their son, Jim graduated from ROTC and is commissioned as a Sec ond Lieutenant, Helen and Duane Hannum at tended the Best rodeo over the weekend. tx * Some of the folks branding this past week were the Cooke Bros., Gary Geyers, Arnold Ho kansons, Earl Weavers, and Pete Nordens. The Roy Pegars took their son Rusty and Arlene Humes to Moorhead State College at Moor head, Minn, where the young peo ple will attend a speech clinic. Luckily they decided to visit Roy’s cousin in Jefferson City instead of staying at the Black Hills that night of the flood. a number of ladies and men have been busy painting and cleaning the Lutheran parsonage the past few days. A county-wide polio clinic is slated for June 15 and will be in Big Sandy from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the basement of the Medical Center. The Bloodmobile will be at the Odd Fellows Hall Wednesday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m Our quota is 45 pints. The City Council has ordered the Police Department to begin immediate enforcement of a city dog lease and license ordinance due to the numerous complaints, Lt. C. Don Bissell and family of Fort Rucker, Ala, visited this past week at the parental Clar ence Bissell home. The Lutheran Church held their picnic at the grove on the Knottenerus Bros. ranch, Per spective Plus was in charge of the worship service. The Meth odist Church held their annual picnic at the Sheehy Park, with outdoor services. Mrs. Opal Henderson went to Missoula last week to see her granddaughters graduate, one from the eighth grade and one from high school, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Henderson brought her back and attended the Skaalure-Stev ens wedding, Jill and Barry Smith attended rodeos at Roy and Billings over the weekend, Barry rode in both rodeos, Dana and Brigid Dixon of Helena are here visiting at the parental Dr. Murphy and Ebby Dixon homes, Coleen Brady attended Girls State at Helena this past week. She was elected alternate to Girl’s Nation which will be held in Washington D.C. Mr. McConkey visited at the John Phelan home in the Bear Paws one day last week. This week he is visiting his sons Royal and Robert McConkey and their families who reside at Mis soula and Ronan, ee Mr. and Mrs. Bob Green visit ed their daughter Betty Allison and family at Los Angeles. Mrs. Green and Mrs. Allison made a trip by plane to Rome, Italy. The Greens returned to their home here this week. *** Mr. Eiliff Olson of the War rick area returned to his home this week after being confined to a Havre hospital. ** Mrs. Ray Williams is now em ployed at Kaste’s Dry Goods, replacing Mrs. Glenn Branagan, Coleen Brady is now employed at the Fand M Grocery Store. *“** About 10 girls attended Grand Assembly for Rainbow Girls at Helena this week. Accompanying the girls were Mr, and Mrs, Fred Bitz and Mr, and Mrs. Har ry Kibbee, Nona Bitz was elect ed Grand Page, +? Mr, and Mrs. Selmer Underdal and Dan and Kelly Jenkins went to Missoula Thursday and helped move their daughter Gail Bur kitt and family to Helena. They returned to Missoula and attend ed graduation exercises at the college. Their daughter Jeanine Jenkis graduated with a BA de gree and a speech degree. Jean ine will attend graduate school this summer and will enter the University of Wyoming at Lar amie this fall. Chosen as members of the So ciety of Outstanding American High School Students were Do lores Dikrit , Margaret Simpson, Kathi Kulbeck, Randy Williams, Edward Blazek, Corinne Rei chelt and Howard Hammond, Diane Bierwagon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bierwagon, and Julie Bitz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bitz, will leave June 19 with the Great Falls Youth Choir for a tour of Eu rope. The tour will take them to cities throughout Holland, Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Bel gium and Italy, where they will perform. They will return home on July 18. ** Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Lippard celebrated their 25th anniver sary at their ranch home with an open house with many friends and relatives attending. ee Mr. and Mrs. Dale Skaalure and family were in Glendive for a few days the first of the week where Dale attended a Com missioner’s meeting. ** Relatives of the Stevens family here to attend the wedding of the Signe Skaalure and Dennis Stev ens were Mr. and Mrs. Bud Hen derson and family and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Collins of Missoula, Mrs. Al Marsh of Spokane, Mrs. Art LaBrosse, and Mrs. Art Girton and daughter, all of Bon ners Ferry, Mr. and Mrs. Hu bert Sharpe of Ft. Shaw, Mr. and Mrs. Christy Brinkman of Havre, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Gertson of White Sulphur Springs. A number of them were houseguests at the Oliver Stev ens home, Lil and Bill Kulbeck and boys spent the weekend at their cabin near Bozeman. * Roger Pearson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Pearson, has been awarded the NMC Booster Club Scholarship of $300. ** Patients at the Medical Cen ter are Marci Bergren, Don Wil son, Margaret Larson, Harley Hurd, and Leonard Crowe. Dis missed were Bill Semingsen, Augusta Jappe, Ed Blazek, Carol Cooke, Teresa Ray and Vera Dammrose. Deceased Anna Westrick. The Citizenship Award, the most outstanding award given in the Big Sandy High School, was won by Lynette Gullicksen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Gullicksen, and Jim Orga, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Orga. The students receiving this are chosen by the high school faculty, “so Debra Quinn Blyth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mack Quinn, was one of 136 new members initiated into the Montana State University chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, national academic honor ary. Mrs. Anna Braun was honored Sunday at a birthday party at the Heritage Home with cake and coffee being served to the friends and relatives.
