Willard HughesWillard Hughes, 84, of 806 W Jasper St., died June 7 at the Lincoln Nursing Home. Retiring in 1962, he was a machinist at the Adam Groth Co. He was a member of Knights Pithinians.Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Evard (Vernetta) Larson; three sons, William, Francis, and Gerald, one brother, Leslie, all of Joliet; a sister, Mrs. John (Stella) Beeston of Des Moines,Iowa; 14 grandchildren; and a great-grandchildServices were held from the Sonntag-Wylie Funeral Home Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Martin Frenk officiating with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
