Reed Speaks To Two Graduating ClassesDr Bevington Reed, Dean of Sul Ross State College, presented two commencement ddresses for 196! graduating classes.On Friday. May 19. Dr. Reed presented the commencement speech for a graduating class of two at Big Bend National Park The teachers at (he two-room school are graduates of Sul Ross Stave College Mrs. Totsy Nell Hitchcock, Principal, received her B S in January 1958 and her M A in August i960. As a History major. Mrs Hitchcock was a member of Sigma Tau Delta. Kappa Delta Pi, Alpha Chi, ami was voted for Who’s Who.Mrs. Helen MdLean. teacher of the first four grades, received her B S, in January 1959. An Art major, Mrs. McLean was a member of Kappa Delta Pi.Dean Reed’s second engagement was at Sierra Blanca High School on Thursday, May 25. John Q Adams, superintendent, received his bachelor’s degree at Sul Ross in 1937 and completed work on his master’s degree in195;Dean Reed, who is dean of Ixi'h the college and the gradu-a!o school, iN professor of social sciences ami is well known throughout the region for his leadership in professional circles as well as an authority in the field of government and history.w
