ANSON BLACK TIGERS TO HAVE CRACK AT ABILENE BLACK EAGLES SAT., SUN.Anson’s Black Tigers will take on the Abilene Black Eagles in a two game series this weekend, one being played Saturday afternoon and one Sunday afternoon to climax Sunday, June 19, celebrationfor Anson’s negroes.The Black Tigers will go inlo the game with 24 wins against 4 losses. They whipped the Haskell Black Indians last week in two games, that saw veteran pitcher, Buddy Hale, strike out 21 men in a 3-hit ball game for the Black Tigers.In meeting the Black Eagles of Abilene, the Tigers will meet one of the better Negro baseball teams of the area. The Black Eagles have beat teams from California, SanAngelo, Fort Worth, Waco, Sweetwater, and many other outstanding Negro baseball teams oi thecountry.A tentative starting lineup given by Snookie Hunter shows speedy outfielder Morrison in left field. Morrison is also a fine clutch hitter. At short will be Bozy, who Is a powerful hitter and a hustling ball player. Redec is scheduled to startat centerfield, Merven at 1st base, Norman at right field, Jimmie at third base, hianager Hunter catch± ing, and “Strike Out” Haley, pitching.Other players include: Golden, at second base, and utility players are Book, M. T., Milton, and Bill. Manager Hunter said that hehas a fine ball club now and doesnot expect to drop another game, especially the ones against the Black Eagles. He also extends a cordial invitation to everyone wishing to see the gahie to come on down and watch the Black Tigers beat the Black Eagles of Abilene Saturday and Sunday. *--
