(SPECIAL TO THE TIMESICEDAR LAKE, Ind., June 16.— Waters of Cedar .Lake, recorded the first near drowning of the summer season at the Cedar Point beach yesterday afternoon when a young-Mexican woman, a resident of Indiana Harbor, was pulled from the water and her life saved by a Crown Foint physician and fire department life saving squad.The victim was unable to speak English and failed to give her name or address. A man who accompanied her and reported to have been her husband, put her in an auto after she had been revived and returned to their home in Indiana Harbor.A swimmer who saw the victim disappear under the water went to her rescue. Her body was found after a five minute search and takento shore. After using artificial respiration, the victim was revived and then again became unconscious.Dr. James C. Ellis and the fire department pulmoter squad made up of Joseph Lump and Albert Rettig were called and raced to the lake with the newly purchased inhalator. After working over the victim for thirty minutes more her life was saved.
