The Kewanna ball club went to Macy Sunday for a game with the Macy Grays. In the seventh inning Toner Urbin of the Kewanna club wa‘s struck in the forehead by a pitched ball with a peculiar curve, which he was trying to dodge. His skull was crushed and he was rendered unconscious. This uufortUr nate accident brought the game to a close and Mr. Urbin was given immediate medical attention and rushed by auto to Rochester, it be* ing the advice of the physician to take him to Woodlawn hospital. On reaching there it was decided to bring Him hotae at once, where he lay under the care of a physician and still unconscious until Tuesday evening when he was taken to St. Josephs Hospital, Logansport _ A report from there Wednesday morning stated he was in such serious condition that the surgeons had decided not to operate at present. Mr. Urbin is a son of E J. Urbin and wife, south of Kewanna! He has a wife and two children and lives in the northwest part, of Kewanna. He is a most popular arid industrious ydung than arid this sad accident has brought sorrow to a very large circle of relatives' and; friends.;: To add to the troubles of that household. Miss Bernice Book of Marion, -visiting there with her uncle, fell from a porch swing at the Harry Lisey home Tuesday and suffered a broken collar bone. . •' ■
