Saturday afternoon there was a horse rare at the fair grounds between Mike Baker s bay gelding and Irwin’s Maud S. Maud Avas to daylight Baker’s horse 26 feet in the quarter dash which she done. The time was caught at 26 seconds. After the race was run there. was some dissatisfaction over the resu.t which culled forth some hot words between Pat Cullins and Jesse Stallswortb, and to settle the dispute they proposed adjourning to some place outside of the corporation and fight it out with nature's weapons which they did. The tight lasted about half au hour Avhen Cullins was declared the winner. Both*men were seA*erely punished.
