Maas, Paul Edward* EVANSVILLE—Paul Edward Maas, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, June 13,2017, at Nazareth Health and Rehab in Stoughton. He was born on May 16,1936, in Madison, Wis., the son of Ralph and Ruth (Collins) Maas. He graduated from Brooklyn High School, Class of 1954. He served in the United States Air Force Reserve from 1954 until 1962. Paul married Lillian Fry in 1956 and they raised five children together. In 197/ he married Fern Frame and they have celebrated 40 years together.raul was raised on the farm, milked cows and raised crops until his retirement. He then continued hobby farming, raising llamas and goats along with some custom farming. He enjoyed tinkering with equipment and driving around checking out the crops while watching the crop dusters work. He was an avid pilot and loved to go flying in his ultra light plane he built which was one of many he had put together. He was a member of the Flying Farmers Association. He loved his dogs and would take them everywhere with him. He will be missed by his family and friends.He is survived by his wife, Fern of Stoughton; his children, Jane (Kenny Smith) Folstad, Karen (Mike) McDonough, Donna (Josh “George) Dunphy, Brenda (James) Cornwell, and Mike Maas, all of Evansville;' a brother, Howard (Laura) Maas; Fern’s children, Bob, Steve, Tammy, Jim, Paul Frame, and Kathy Hasse; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; the mother of nis children, Lillian Hatlen; a niece and a nephew; and his beloved dog, Snoopy. He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017, at WARD-HURTLEY FUNERAL HOME. Evansville, with the Rev.
